Get to know Hunter
Hunter Hall is a vocalist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a passion for music that moves and inspires. Starting his musical journey at the piano at the age of 5, he has been hooked ever since.
He is an avid guitarist focusing in the styles of blues, rock, folk, finger-style and jazz.
As well as his focus on contemporary music, Hunter studied opera on a full-ride scholarship at University of Denver, performing principal and secondary roles. He has performed as “Rinuccio” in Gianni Schicchi, “Faust” in Faust and “Remendado” in Carmen. Hunter lived 2 summers abroad in Germany touring around Germany, Spain, Italy and France with the German company; Opera Classica. He has sung over 50 performances in the chorus of various traditional works as apart of University of Northern Colorado’s exchange program. He is passionate about adapting solid technique to any style of singing.
As a music director and accompanist of musicals his credits include; Grease, Young Frankenstein, The Last 5 Years, Company, Little Shop of Horrors, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Les Miserables, Carrie, and Evil Dead.
Despite his “classical” and theater background, Hunter’s main focus is as a songwriter and arranger. He has recorded his original music (Petals of Spain-Daydream) with famed 9-time Grammy winning producer Frank Filipetti (Book of Mormon, Wicked, Aida Cast Recordings) (James Taylor-Hourglass) (Frank Zappa-200 motels). You can find Hunter on the band stand most weekends singing and playing with his band “Hunter James” who will release it’s debut album this August.
