Vocals, Piano, Early Childhood Education
Cassidy Bacon is a versatile, multi-style vocalist. While earning her bachelor’s degree in Music Education at the University of Northern Colorado Cassidy gained experience in many branches of vocal music technique including classical, opera, choral, jazz (solo and ensemble), barbershop, acapella and musical theater. She has been active in the Northern Colorado music scene for years, performing with Colorado Swing Big Band, Mark Sloniker Trio and Moment’s Notice Entertainment, and is now focusing on writing original music for her singer-songwriter project SINKRA with Denver-based pianist/vocalist Makayla Dooley.
Cassidy has learned to truly appreciate the wide expanse of sounds to be explored with the voice and works to encourage others to do the same, providing students with a safe and comfortable space for exploration in lessons. She aims to make advanced pedagogical techniques accessible to all ages and learning styles so that they can be utilized in any musical realm. Cassidy allows her lessons to be student-driven, using her expertise to support and build on each individual’s unique potential.
While living in Fort Collins, Cassidy spent two years developing, implementing and revising an Early Childhood music program for a Montessori inspired Preschool. Cassidy is inspired by the enthusiasm and uninhibited nature of young children, and hopes to capture that feeling and bring it to students of all ages.
