Violin, Piano

C has been drawn to music before she was tall enough to reach the keys of her family’s piano. She began studying piano at the age of 3 ½ and added violin a few years later. Growing up in Northern California, C was fortunate to be exposed to many kinds of many kinds of music and enjoyed playing in orchestras, string quartets, state honor groups, and several different bands throughout high school.

In 2009, C moved to Denver to study at the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver, where she completed her degree in violin performance. She has established herself as a versatile performer and currently plays with a wide variety of orchestras, chamber ensembles, rock, Celtic, and folk music groups including the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra and Irish folk duo Avourneen.

C received recognition for her playing throughout California and Colorado, and has appeared as a soloist with the Eureka Symphony, and the California North State Symphony. As a performer, C is excited by exploring new possibilities for what the violin can do and enjoys collaborating with other musicians in many styles!

C has been teaching group and private lessons for more than 7 years and has taught at Aspen Academy Elementary school in Greenwood Village, several summer institutes, and throughout the Denver area. As a teacher, C strives to help each student discover a love of music and to develop each individual’s musical ability through highly personalized lessons with a strong foundation in technique.
