Music has had a major role in Jenna Hunt’s life ever since she started taking piano lessons when she was five years old. It has taken her to the stages of Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House, Lincoln Center, and the Shanghai Performing Arts Center. Ms. Hunt has been playing harp professionally since 2001, and has studied various genres including jazz, classical, pop, hip-hop, folk, and many others. In 2015, Jenna graduated with her Bachelor of Music in jazz studies at the University of Northern Colorado, and in 2016, she completed her Performance Certificate in harp performance at the University of Denver where she received an award for an Outstanding Graduate Recital. As a teacher, Jenna began teaching harp students fairly early, and received her first collegiate job as harp instructor for Colorado College in Colorado Springs at only 23 years old. Ms. Hunt has experience teaching kids as young as 3 years old, and has taught older students, including adults. She believes that teaching is a learning experience in and of itself, and that each student requires a personal combination of challenges, encouragement, and fun.
