Get to know Tisa
Tisa’s love for the performing arts has been a driving force in her life from a young age, giving her motivation to pursue her dream of music education. Her love of education grew through each step of her undergraduate and graduating degrees, taking her from the assistant direction of a 72 person concert choir and 16 person show choir at York College in 2016 to the leadership, performance, and directing opportunities in ensembles of the Glenn Korff School of Music at University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Her passion was matched by her striving for excellence, earning her places in the Golden Key Society and the Musician’s Honor Society at her graduation in 2018. Passion and excellence were integral parts of each of her performing opportunities including a lead role as Mamita in “Gigi,” a role in the Mark Adamo opera “Little Women,” was chosen as Soprano soloist in four choral concert programs, and various elite ensembles such as the UNL University Singers, the UNL Chamber Singers, the UNL All Collegiate Choir, the York College Concert Choir, and “The Celebration Singers” show choir. Her consistent desire for a superior performance experience overflow to her role as a private vocal music educator since 2012, and can be seen in the success of her students ranging every age, experience level, and vocal type. Tisa looks forward to pressing on in passion and excellence with the students of Neighborhood Music Stapleton for many years to come.
